Leviticus

“The codes of Holiness”

Leviticus is an instruction book for God’s priests and the Levites. It teaches them their duties and is a guide book for the Holy standards of living expected by God’s Holy people the Hebrews.

It foreshadows many New Testament teachings such as the holiness of God, the seriousness of sin, how we must be pardoned of it, and the need for a mediator between us and God.

*Holiness is mentioned more times (152) in Leviticus than any other Bible book!

“Ye shall be HOLY: for I the LORD your God am HOLY.”
